Media Guide

Welcome to the Lokal A-Frame Media Guide! After a long day of laying on the beach, hanging by the bonfire, or grilling on the Green Egg, you may want to sit back and watch a good movie. Or perhaps you want to listen to your favorite tunes while enjoying your awesome day. At Lokal A-Frame, we got you covered!

We offer Sonos, full cable, HBO & Netflix (sorry, no DVD or CD players here). Below you’ll find instructions on how to operate the entertainment system. Don’t worry, It’s easier than it looks.

Essential Phone Apps

Sonos - to listen to music, and switch the sounds from TV sounds to music sounds

Spotify - optional, but it’s our preferred music app!

WIFI

First thing’s first, connect to WIFI! The password to login is 3pennyln (wifi can be finicky at times, so reboot the router at the top of the stairs when in doubt...)

Projector

Lower the projector screen by gently pulling it down. Hit the Xfinity remote power button to turn on the tv. If the Sonos is playing music, use the Sonos app to switch the sound to tv (see below for instructions).

Xfinity Remote w/ Voice Controls

You can also use the Xfinity remote for cable and voice activated controls. All you have to do is hold down the microphone button (above the #2) and speak into the remote. This is also the easiest way to get to Netflix and back to Cable. Just hold it down and say “Netflix!” or “Cable!”

MUSIC

Sonos App

You can play music through the Sonos sound system by connecting to the A-Frame’s wifi (below) and using the Sonos app on your phone. You can download the app from iTunes, or on your android smartphone. It’s free!

We have two zones - Living room and Outside. When in the Sonos app, click on what is playing. At the bottom of the screen you will see what zone it is playing in. Click that zone to see the other options if you'd like to switch. You can also choose play TV from here as well.

Spotify App

If you have the Spotify app downloaded, you can also connect to the Sonos zones from there (when your app is open, tap on the button located on the lower left corner, the symbol looks like a speaker).
